When your splitboard bindings feel just like your regular setup, the descent becomes the best part of the tour. The 2026 Union Explorer is designed for beginner to intermediate splitboarders seeking a smooth, responsive ride with minimal fuss on the skin track. Built for durability, simplicity, and natural board feel, the Explorer delivers dependable performance on long tours, steep lines, and everything in between—without overcomplicating the journey.
Includes: Mounting hardware, Explorer split disk, Explorer quiver disk, touring brackets, and splitboard strap.
The Union Explorer Split Disk incorporates a unique design to help bring the two halves of the splitbaord together under your feet. It also provides a natural board flex and ride feel.
With the pin removed from the baseplate, push the binding directly down onto the disk.
Following the arrows on the disk, rotate the binding assembly 90* to align with the pin hole. The binding will lock into place at your selected stance angle.
Push the pin through the baseplate and disk. Lock the pin securely into the baseplate sidewall cover. Enjoy the ride down!

Align toe edge of binding with touring bracket.
Slide the pin through the the binding and touring bracket, push the pin handle inwards and lock the pin securely into the baseplate.
You're now ready to tour. For help on steep climbs, flip down the heel riser underneath the baseplate and lock securely into place.
